Don't Look is my final game project of the first-year of Master's Degree. We were a group of 6 students. I worked as a 2D & 3D artist and as an animator (Rigging Animation). I also supervised the whole artistic direction of the game.

About the game

Don't Look is a 3D side-view horror game using eye tracking technology. You play a child who went looking for his dog in a dark and mysterious bunker. Explore the environment using a flashlight with your eyes, but beware, something is lurking in the shadows.

Artistic Direction : Designing Don't Look

In this project, I wanted to build a credible environment maintaining a good balance between details and general atmosphere.
The general atmosphere is simple and sober, somehow dreamlike. Due to the lack of time and staff, it was very important to set a reasonable amount of work in order to start immediatly the production. The artistic direction of the environment was determined by these factors.
We also restricted the use of colours. Since it happens in the dark, we privileged complementary colours to increase the visibility and the readability.
